ENLIGHT 2.0 Project launched in Bhubaneswar

In March 2023, Aide et Action (India), Capgemini, and their partner - VIEWS launched 'ENLIGHT 2.0' project, in Bhubaneshwar. The project aims to provide quality education to over 200 girl children from rag-picking communities living in urban slums of Bhubaneshwar, enabling them to have a better future and life.

The first phase of the ENLIGHT project was initiated in 2015, supporting 2000 odd girl children in difficult circumstances in nine cities. The second phase of the project will be implemented in 14 cities of India till 2026. The distinguished guests, including the Mayor of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, the Commissioner of Police, and the Vice President of Capgemini, among others, graced the event.

During the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Aide et Action (India) & Director of Programme Development & Support at Aide et Action International (South Asia) gave an overview of the project. Sabyasachi Patnaik from Capgemini Technology Services expressed his commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of girl children living in difficult circumstances. By expanding the project's reach to 5 new cities, Capgemini and Aide et Action aim to help young girls create a better future for themselves.
