Continuing its efforts to provide access to quality education to girls in the most difficult circumstances, the #Enlight project has now expanded to three new locations, including Bhubaneswar, Delhi and Noida. The project will now be working to provide a better life to girl children infected/affected by Leprosy and girls from families of ragpickers.

To orient, the newly incumbent partner NGO teams and Direct Intervention Project staff about the project's vision and objective, a perspective building workshop was organized in Chennai. The teams were guided by experts in the field of education on ways to assess and monitor the educational performance of children, methods to develop Child Assessment Tools, and teaching materials. In the sessions that followed, the team was briefed on financial and branding guidelines as well as the importance of inclusion in the intervention.

A field visit to the Child Support Centre was organized for the partners who spent time visiting the digital laboratory set up through the project at a government high school in the outskirts of Chennai and interaction with the girl children attending Child Support Centre functioning in a nearby village.
